United Colors of Benetton sets in motion a collection with relaxed pacing for the spring 2011 season. From a light age, executed with their accessible tee accompanied by handkerchief like neck scarfs,both available in striped hues and an athletic-inspired take on casual for a military gym to the upbeat stride of mix and match summer colors, Benetton finds a safe refuge in a string of easy to wear pieces. Giving their sound range of wardrobe staples a finishing touch, Sunday Brunchlays out a great offering of breathable suiting and bermudas for when the heat sets in. Although it all ties in together considering the size of the collection, ones gets the sense that the designers played it a little too safe. a broader colour palette would have added more life into the collection. Kudos to the individual pieces though, here are my picks from the show.
